DOCTOR JOHN Y.H. ISMAIL:

After almost forty years in the specialty practice of prosthodontics and dental education, Dr. Ismail brings his expertise in esthetics, implant dentistry, removable dentures and full mouth make-over to Las Vegas.

Dr. Ismail, a professor emeritus of prosthodontics, served as chairman of the prosthodontic department, and director of the prosthodontic residency program at the school of dental medicine, University of Pittsburgh. He lectured, demonstrated and trained dentists on various aspects of implant dentistry, dental/facial esthetics, as well as fixed and removable prosthodontics (to replace missing teeth and jaw structure) in all four corners of the world.

Dr. Ismail and his team at Reconstructive Dentistry offer the most advanced cosmetic and functional restorations, which include, but are not limited to, crowns, bridges, partial dentures, complete dentures, implant surgery and restoration, cosmetic dentistry, treatment of TMJ dysfunction and alternative treatment for many conditions such as snoring, sleep apnea, migraine headaches, stabilization of bite, aid to weight control, and cosmetic evaluation. Dr. Ismail has always believed that, “an educated dental patient is the best patient to treat”. Launa L. Ismail, RN, B.S.
Practice Administrator and Patient Advocate

Launa brings to the institute 25 years experience as an office manager and clinical coordinator of a prosthodontic and implant specialty practice. She is a registered nurse in Pennsylvania and Nevada, and holds a B.S. degree in health arts.

She worked as an assistant head nurse of a 50 bed surgical unit at Montefiore Hospital, University of Pittsburgh medical center. Additionally, she received further specialized training in the areas of human relations and counseling. Launa also held the volunteer positions of Stephen Minister and Parish Nurse for the past several years.

Launa brings her unique and diverse experiences to the institute to assist and coordinate all health related and interpersonal issues of our patients, to safe guard their experiences and to improve the quality of their care. This is in addition to coordinating and managing the various functions in the Institute.

Leah Manila

Leah started on her path to a dental career in high school, when she worked for her Uncle in his dental practice in the Philippines. In the 1980's, at Manila Central University in the Philippines, she taught Zoology & Comparative Anatomy to Pre-Dental students.

When Leah immigrated to the United States, she worked in her cousin's dental practice in California, soon taking over as office manager.

In 2005, Leah and her family moved to Las Vegas. She had left behind a wonderful work environment, and wondered if she would be able to find anything similar in her new town. Leah is happiest when she is helping people; she is a good communicator and brings her winsome and calming personality as well as excellent front office skills and thorough knowledge of dental insurances to RDI. She is a happy part of the RDI team, feeling right at home in the friendly & caring environment. Leah is a natural subscriber to the RDI philosophy of treating the whole patient.

In addition, Leah loves to cook, and is quite good at it, too, as the RDI doctors and staff will attest.

Brittany Hohn

Brittany moved to Las Vegas in 2003 from Huron, South Dakota. She worked in a customer service environment prior to deciding upon a career in dentistry. Brittany completed the Dental Assisting Course at Northwest Health Careers, and joined the RDI Staff in July of 2008.

She enjoys the whole-patient care environment at RDI. While Brittany can have a serious nature, her smile is sincere and easy, and she cares about each patient's overall care.

Brittany enjoys spending time with her friends, her little dog, watching movies and hanging out.
